Some art updates

So I've not done much art recently, just not been in the mood nor have I had the time. I've been really limiting my time sitting at the computer in the evenings since I had surgery back in mid-October and that's one of the area's that had to give.

Only pieces I've done have been for contests over on the One Manga Forums, one for the manga coloring contest (theme = romance) and one for the WSAC #196 (theme = Touhou). So without further ado, here are my entries:



For the manga coloring contest, the theme was romance and my first thought went to Edward and Winry from Fullmetal Alchemist. 


I'm really rather proud of how the hair turned out this time.  That one area is probably my particular nemesis for art, but I keep working on it!

Next up is a signature image for the WSAC #196 theme - Touhou.  I don't know the game/series at all but since seeing a really cool video about the game on YouTube, the name has stuck with me.  So I felt like jumping in and doing something.  It's not getting any votes in the contest so far, but that's fine.  I've always known how I do signature images is different than how most people do them on the forums (aka I don't use tons of effects or C4D backgrounds or anything like that.  I prefer simple.)


So, there it is - an update about the minor bits of artwork I've done lately.
