That's the sound of me being a busy bee!  I haven't been doing much of anything lately, just keeping myself occupied with around the house stuff and the like.  I did manage to get some things finished though.

Friday : Oceans Thirteen movie.
The husband got us tickets to see Oceans Thirteen on opening night.  We got there early (and I brought a book this time for the wait) and found good seats because we were afraid the theatre would be full.  It wasn't.  I guess the 7:20 showing isn't a popular one on Friday nights.  Still, I was fine with it since we didn't have to deal with idiots coming in late and wanting to climb over us to get into the row (like what happened when we saw Pirates 3).

I enjoyed the movie.  It wasn't Brilliant! or anything, but it was a good, solid and enjoyable movie all around.  They didn't need to do the "explain what really happened" after the fact bit as in the two previous movies, and frankly, I didn't mind the lack of twist at all.  It was all pretty straightforward and everyone played their parts well.  It'll be a definite DVD purchase when it comes out, and I must admit that George Clooney and Brad Pitt are aging rather well.

Grrr!

Well, now I'm seriously annoyed.  Last week, my website service blipped for a few hours.  I didn't think anything of it because my guild site and website are hosted by our guild webmaster and he'd get things back up and running in no time.  The guild site and forums were back up and running just fine, but I didn't check my own site for a day or so, not until I went to update it.

Nothing. It wasn't appearing.  All the files were still on the server, but it was like the site didn't exist.  So I sent my friend an email and he took care of things (permissions on my templates folder were messed up).  Not a problem and the site was viewable once more.

Tonight I go to login and update one of my stories ("Fanning the Flames") and the admin section isn't showing up.  No admin folder on the server either.  So I found my most recent Joomla update and just re-uploaded the administrator folder.  Well, now I can login, but the template is missing and it goes nowhere after logging in.  Something else is missing.  So now I think I'm going to have to reinstall Joomla completely since something was messed up in the service blip.

I don't want to change from Joomla because I have a lot of items in the database for there and because I do like the way it works.  Yeah, it's probably too much for me at this time, but I don't mind.  I've finally gotten things running nicely and I'm feeling the urge to make a new template again as well.

Still, this whole situation is just a PITA!
