Bzzzzz! Bzzzzz! Bzzzz!
Jun. 12th, 2007 06:11 pmThat's the sound of me being a busy bee! I haven't been doing much of anything lately, just keeping myself occupied with around the house stuff and the like. I did manage to get some things finished though.
Friday : Oceans Thirteen movie.
The husband got us tickets to see Oceans Thirteen on opening night. We got there early (and I brought a book this time for the wait) and found good seats because we were afraid the theatre would be full. It wasn't. I guess the 7:20 showing isn't a popular one on Friday nights. Still, I was fine with it since we didn't have to deal with idiots coming in late and wanting to climb over us to get into the row (like what happened when we saw Pirates 3).
I enjoyed the movie. It wasn't Brilliant! or anything, but it was a good, solid and enjoyable movie all around. They didn't need to do the "explain what really happened" after the fact bit as in the two previous movies, and frankly, I didn't mind the lack of twist at all. It was all pretty straightforward and everyone played their parts well. It'll be a definite DVD purchase when it comes out, and I must admit that George Clooney and Brad Pitt are aging rather well.
