Fun Links Time!
Jul. 22nd, 2007 02:31 pmA couple of fun links I've found over on F13.net that I wanted to share (errr.. I mostly lurk in the General Discussion forum these days).
Walk Score - How walkable is your home?
Very cool site that shows different locations within walking distance of your home. Granted, the site currently uses "as the crow flies" for their determinations, so it's not perfect, but I was surprised to see how close some places were to my house. Still, my score sucked. :(

LibraryThing.
It's an online library listing. Personally, I find this really cool, to the point where I think I'm going to get a lifetime subscription so I can list all my books (around 800 paperbacks right now). You can see links to other people that have similar books to you, and join groups (F13 has one now) and rate/write reviews. Here's a link to my library for now. I need to get the wireless set up on the laptop so I can sit in front of the shelves and enter books that way. I want to make sure I get the right editions of some of these, since a good portion are first editions (yeah, yeah, paperbacks, I know) and old. Not that my books are worth anything much; they are definitely in the "well-loved and read multiple times" category for the most part.
Oh, and I'm back from vacation. Need to write about our trip and get the pictures uploaded somewhere. Awesome trip to visit family out in Washington State.
